The link is to an article written by an amazing friend of mine, fellow CrossFit Central coach and GGRX athlete: Katherine Grosshaupt. Congratulations, Kat.
Besides being a great read, it is also timely and powerful because of the misinformation being tossed around by people in the world of CrossFit and Strength and Conditioning who don’t know their ass from their elbow. Kat is what you might call an “expert” in the field, and her knowledge and experience far outweighs that of others who “think” they know the “facts” about women, CrossFitting and lifting weights while pregnant.
Kat has always been… outspoken… 😉 but this really demonstrates why she is such a valuable part of our community – as a coach, friend and mother. She is not afraid to voice her opinion when she thinks there is something wrong or missing. She is an advocate for the empowerment of women and also for the dissemination of knowledge. In this article, she has done both eloquently.
