Big props to the Screamin Vegan: Mr. Randy Atkinson! 4th Place at the Diamond Games in the Rx Division.

Randy took on the Diamond Games this past weekend at the Dell Diamond up in Round Rock and finished the weekend with 6th, 4th, 5th and 4th places on the WODs, respectively. The conditions can only be described as… a nightmare. Rain, wind and temperatures dipping into the low 30’s were not what one might consider “ideal”… but CF Cedar Park pulled it together and Randy did what he needed to do and put up some great numbers and times against some solid competition.

My favorite part of the weekend (other than eating a cardboard pretzel and luke-warm coffee/swill) was watching him hit a 235# snatch and a 245# cluster. He lifted on slick concrete and had to chalk up with dust left on the ground. It was pretty epic. The final workout was a winner-take-all, and Randy stepped up to the plate to finish strong.

We also ran into Ryan this weekend and got to watch him take on a couple of workouts! Needless to say he moves very well and is getting man-strong. Great watching you Ryan – keep up the good work…!
