Jason Marks gets two posts in a row. Not because he’s all that cool, but because as of tonight, he enters the books as the strongest athlete — pound for pound — that we have in the Program.

Here’s Jason hitting a 275# Snatch Balance tonight (at a bodyweight of 172#), for a 10# PR:

Some other stats:
-Bodyweight: 172
-Snatch: 216
-C&J: 275
-Front Squat: 315
-Bench Press: 285

He also calls gymnastics his friend and like to run fast. Pretty potent combo if you ask me…

Week 27 Training: 14.01.10


A. 3 rounds, for quality:

-5/5 Single-Leg RDL @ Single 45/25# Dumbbell
-10 Strict Pull-Ups
-5/5 Bulgarian Split Squat @ Dual 45/25# Dumbbells
-10 Extra ROM Ring Dip Pushups

Notes: SL RDL: When DB is in the right hand, the left foot is on the ground. Perform SL RDL by reaching across the body and touching DB outside of planted foot. Pull-ups: Change your grip for each set. BSS: Hold DBs in the suitcase position. Extra ROM Ring Dip Pushup: set up rings and a box to elevate the feet off the group. Rings should be same height as box. Go AS DEEP as you can in your ring pushup.


B. 3 rounds, for time:

-50′ HandStand Walk
-40 Double Unders
-30 Pull-ups

    Jason, the super hip mobile BEAST. Its been awesome training with you man, miss you in the AM.

  2. A. Done (used bumpers for the original round of b squats and RDL, then found where they kept the dumbbells upstairs and repeated RDL)
    B. Done (tore on 70th pull up – did the remaining reps as push ups)
