Apparently The Fittest Games wasn’t *hard* enough for Brandon Mayernik… so he decided to PR his snatch  by hitting 285# yesterday… No, he didn’t get video, but apparently there were witnesses…

That was followed up by Johnathan Haynes power cleaning 350# today in the 8 minute test. No, I didn’t get it on video… 

Note to self (and to you while we’re at it): If you decide to do something “strong” or “cool”, please put a camera in someone’s hands and tell them to record it. If you eff it up, the most you have to do is hit the “erase” button.

Week 30 Training: 14.01.30

BARBELL

A. EMOM x 5: 2 Snatch @ 80%
-Rest 2 Minutes-
B. 2 Minute AMRAP: Snatch @ 80%

STRENGTH/SKILL

C. EMOM x 12:

-Rounds 1, 4, 7 & 10: 3 Strict Muscle Ups
-Rounds 2, 5, 8 & 11: 20-Second Pistol Hold
-Rounds 3, 6, 9 & 12: 10 Strict Grasshoppers

Notes: You will start a new movement on each minute. If you cannot perform strict MU, sub strict C2B pull-ups. For the pistol hold on plates, alternate feet each round – you will do 2 rounds on the right foot and 2 rounds on the left foot. You should sit in the bottom of a pistol for the entire 20 seconds. Scale by doing the holds with your foot on a plate(s) or on a box. Perform a grasshopper by starting in a plank. Take your right knee to your left elbow. Then take your left knee to your right elbow. That would be “1 rep”. Perform the movement slowly and deliberately.

CONDITIONING

D. 10 Minute AMRAP:

-5 Shoulder to Overhead @ 135/95
-10 Deadlifts @ 135/95
-15 Box Jumps @ 24/20
