Tomorrow we send off one of our best friends and best athletes, Mr. Reid Reagan. Reid will be taking a big step in his professional career by making the move back to OKC, and it goes without saying that we will miss him very much. Luckily, he’ll be making the move with Tia, and when he gets there he’ll be joining back up to train and compete with the boys and girls at Koda CrossFit – so he’ll be in good hands on both the home and gym front.
Reid came to us about 2 1/2 years ago and had a goal to compete and to win. He dedicated himself, worked tirelessly and did the things that very few are willing to do. He raised himself up, made himself indispensable, and eventually achieved one of his goals by competing at the 2014 CrossFit Games.
I’m proud of Reid for many reasons. One being the way he continued to bust his ass and support his team during Regionals. Another being the way he lead his team during much of the CrossFit Games. Reid became a vocal and emotional leader at just the right time in the year – and it was absolutely invaluable to the team’s success at the Games.
But Reid is also more than an athlete — he’s one hell of an all-around, down-to-earth dude.
As a group, we’ve been through great times and we’ve been through some tough times. I’m proud to have worked with Reid and to have been able to coach him during the time that I did. It’s not too often that athletes like Reid come along: ones that are willing to listen, work and perform; ones that are humble, passionate and always ready to prove themselves. He put his trust in me as his coach, and for that I am grateful. Thank you Reid.
