There are too many thoughts and emotions about this past week to put into one simple post. I will be sharing my thoughts on the Games and my thoughts about training and programming moving forward over the course of the next week and month.
One thing I can say is how very proud I am of our team and our community. Our team represented us in the best way possible, with grace, humility, hard work and heart. Our community was behind us every step of the way – some in Carson and some back in Austin. Both groups were needed and felt throughout the week of competition.
Although we did not finish where we wanted, this week has shown us something very promising for the years to come. We have more potential than we know, and I am excited to get back to the drawing board to set up the rest of 2015 and 2016 to be the best year yet.
For now, know that we will get back to the basics, as we do every year at this time. Recovery of the body, mind and soul will be priority #1 from here until we begin the next phase of our training towards 2016. Quality movement and fixing faulty movement patterns will be the first step towards building better athletes and human beings.
See y’all back in the gym!
