Set goals. Plan. Strategize. Collaborate. Share. Encourage. Empathize. Work. Do. Be. The above picture is of one of the best meetings we have had as a leadership group yet. Ingrid, Johnathan, Ben, Karen, Jess, Orion, Ricky, Katie and I met up and discussed our goals and plans for our team, programs, gym and ourselves. What we learned is that we have much to do! But the future is bright and exciting — the people around me are amazing people, full of drive and intelligence and love. We are working hard to become the best in the world. We are on our way. Thank you.

On a separate, but related note: this Sunday, September 30th, I will be meeting with Team Jääkarhu to officially begin our 2016 Season.

We will be discussing and planning our off-season, pre-season and season (training and competitions) as well as topics like recovery, attitude, team selection, and the importance of a “Win Everything” mentality. This year, we have 8 men and 8 women that will comprise our pool of prospective athletes. These athletes will train together every Saturday: increasing strength, honing skills, upping conditioning and working together as teammates to become the best possible version of themselves, so that we can develop the best team possible. This will be the most competitive training environment I have ever been a part of or witnessed either as an athlete or as a coach.

This group has come together over the past 6 months – some joined us before the 2015 season began, and some have joined us since the 2015 season ended, but all will be working towards our common goal: 2016.

Week 4: 15.08.28

Front squat 5-5-5-5-5 reps
